Customer challenge
For international athletes, staying at the peak of physical health is a way of life. Top clubs take every measure to protect their most valuable elite players.
For English Gallagher Premiership Rugby Union Club Harlequins, keeping their first team healthy and at the top of their game is paramount. The club does everything it can to help protect players from the threat of COVID-19 infection, and from future threats, too.
The UV-C lighting solution
11 Philips UV-C disinfection upper air units have been installed in the club’s Honours Bar. This area is normally reserved for Season Ticket Members but currently serves as the home team players’ dressing room.
Players can benefit straight away from the new safety measures, while the Members area is ready to welcome Season Ticket Members when The Stoop can once again open its doors to the Quins’ loyal supporters.
The UV-C upper air luminaires disinfect continuously. Air flows to the upper layers of air in a room by means of natural convection. Once it has been disinfected by the fixtures, it flows back down and mixes with lower air layers in the Honours bar area.
